About This Toolkit

This toolkit is here to help healthcare providers deliver care that respects the cultural differences for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It includes tools and resources designed to improve communication, support meaningful conversations, and promote fair and inclusive treatment for all patients.

While most of the toolkit is intended for healthcare providers, it also includes a section labeled “Patient and Caregiver Resources” with helpful information to better understand and manage IBD care.

Patient and Caregiver Resources

This section of the toolkit provides information designed to help patients and caregivers:

  • Learn more about IBD.
  • Get tips to share information clearly with your healthcare provider.
  • Understand care and support options that work best for you.

If you have questions or concerns about your health or treatment, please speak directly with your healthcare provider.

If you a patient or caregiver and have questions or concerns about your health or treatment, it’s important to speak directly with your healthcare provider.
