How do they work and what are their unique characteristics?

  • INVEGA SUSTENNA, INVEGA TRINZA, and INVEGA HAFYERA are long-acting antipsychotic suspensions given as injections by your healthcare provider into the muscle (intramuscularly).1-3
  • Follow your treatment schedule exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to.1-3
  • Your healthcare provider will tell you how much medication you will receive and when you will receive it.1-3
  • They each have the same ingredient, paliperidone palmitate, which your body will metabolize or break down over time into the active medication, paliperidone. However, each product is designed differently, so that the active medication is released into the body over different periods of time.1-3
    • INVEGA SUSTENNA is administered as 2 starting doses, given 1 week apart, into the muscle of the upper arm (deltoid). The following monthly doses are administered in the muscle of the upper arm (deltoid) or buttocks (gluteal).1
    • INVEGA TRINZA is administered every 3 months into the muscle of the upper arm (deltoid) or buttocks (gluteal) after being adequately treated with INVEGA SUSTENNA for at least 4 months.2
    • INVEGA HAFYERA is administered every 6 months only in the muscle of the buttocks (gluteal) after being adequately treated with INVEGA SUSTENNA for at least 4 months or INVEGA TRINZA for one 3-month cycle.3
