What medicines might I be given along with DARZALEX FASPRO?

  • DARZALEX FASPRO may be given alone or together with other medicines used to treat multiple myeloma.1
  • Your healthcare provider will give you medicines before each dose of DARZALEX FASPRO and after each dose of DARZALEX FASPRO to help reduce the risk of serious allergic reactions and other reactions due to release of certain substances by your body (systemic).1
  • You may receive the following medicines 1-3 hours before each dose of DARZALEX FASPRO1:
    • Acetaminophen 650 mg to 1000 mg by mouth
    • Diphenhydramine 25 mg to 50 mg (or equivalent) by mouth or into your vein (intravenously)
    • Corticosteroid (long- or intermediate-acting)
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO alone: Methylprednisolone 100 mg (or equivalent) by mouth or into your vein (intravenously). Can be lowered to 60 mg (or equivalent) after the second dose of DARZALEX FASPRO.
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO with other medicines: Dexamethasone 20 mg (or equivalent) by mouth or into your vein (intravenously) before every dose.
  • You may receive the following medicines the day after administering DARZALEX FASPRO1:
    • Corticosteroid (long- or intermediate-acting)
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO alone: Methylprednisolone 20 mg (or equivalent) by mouth for 2 days.
      • If taking DARZALEX FASPRO with other medicines: Oral methylprednisolone at a dose of 20 mg or less may be given based on your healthcare provider's decision.
    • After 3 doses of DARZALEX FASPRO, if you do not have a serious reaction to the treatment that affects your whole body, your healthcare provider may stop giving the corticosteroid.
    • For patients with a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), short and long-acting bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids may be given. These additional medicines can be stopped by your healthcare provider after the first 4 doses of DARZALEX FASPRO if you do not have a serious reaction to the treatment.
